It seems like you’re in a bit of a situation here.. I can’t talk from personal experience here as I am not lucky enough to be dating anyone… Basically honesty is the best policy here .. She may continue to feel bad if you don’t sit and talk to her about it, which in turn will make you feel a whole lot worse too. If what you both feel for each other is genuine and mutual, there shouldn’t be too much of an issue ..I’m sure she is a lot more understanding than you think :3 I hope this helps.. Stay strong :)
